The 2025 primary season is over and the battle for your rights moves to the general election on November 4th. Here are the highlights.
Commonwealth Court
On the Republican side, GOA-endorsed candidate Josh Prince lost to Matthew Wolford for Commonwealth Court. For gun owners, this outcome was a profound disappointment, as we see Josh Prince as the unparalleled champion for our God-given rights.
Matt Wolford will now face off against Democrat Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Stella Tsai. A quick look at Tsai’s website shows that she is endorsed by “Leghigh Valley 4 All PAC” that openly supports “gun safety” on their website.
Superior Court
For the Republicans, Maria Battista won against the GOP-endorsed Ann Marie Wheatcraft for Superior Court. Maria Battista will be running against Democrat Washington County Court of Common Please Judge Brandon Neuman. Neuman is also endorsed by “Lehigh Valley 4 All PAC” calling into question his commitment to uphold your constitutionally-protected rights.
Court of Common Pleas
Both GOA-endorsed Court of Common Pleas judge candidates won their primaries. John Scialabba secured his victory in Butler County and Tom Mosca emerged victorious in Luzerne County. As one of two candidates for both open seats, John Scialabba is guaranteed victory in the general election. On the other hand, Tom Mosca will run against Democrat Mark Bufalino in the general election.
Sheriff Races
All GOA-endorsed sheriff candidates won their primaries: Mike Slupe (Butler County), Jeremy Markham (Erie County), William Carbaugh (Forest County), and Vincent Martwinski (Lawrence County).
GOA is particularly concerned about the Erie County race where Bloomberg’s Everytown injected $200,000 to elect the incumbent sheriff four years ago. GOA will work to ensure that Jeremy Markham wins the sheriff’s race in November and send Bloomberg’s puppet packing.
Stay tuned for additional endorsements and information for the upcoming general election and thank you for your continued support.
