GOA Endorses Scott Janney for State Senate

Scott Janney is the Gun Owners’ Choice Candidate for State Senate District 18

The battle for control of the Pennsylvania State Senate is officially on—and the absolute key to defending our freedom is right here in Senate District 18.

With the Senate majority hanging in the balance, the Senate Democratic Campaign Committee is preparing to dump truckloads of cash into this district to protect their anti-gun agenda. But we have a golden opportunity to flip this seat, defeat a long-time anti-gun incumbent, and send a true patriot to Harrisburg.

That is why I am proud to endorse Scott Janney for State Senate in Pennsylvania’s 18th District.

Unlike the career politicians in Harrisburg, Scott is a genuine citizen-leader. He is a lifelong Pennsylvanian with deep family roots in the Commonwealth that trace all the way back to the original settlers who arrived before William Penn.

As a pastor, educator, and director for the Salvation Army, Scott has dedicated his life to serving others and building up his community. And when it comes to defending your constitutional rights, Scott Janney will never be a squish.

Scott earned a perfect 100% score on his Gun Owners of America candidate survey. He understands that Article I, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution means exactly what it says: the right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.

Compare that to his opponent, Democrat incumbent Lisa Boscola. Boscola has spent decades in office and has shown that she cannot be trusted to protect your freedoms.

When the historic vote for Constitutional Carry came to the Senate floor, Lisa Boscola voted NO. She chose to stand with the gun-control lobby instead of law-abiding gun owners, demanding that Pennsylvanians continue to pay a tax and beg for a government permission slip just to exercise their God-given right to self-defense.

We cannot let anti-gun politicians like Boscola continue to hold the line for tyrannical gun control in Harrisburg.

In Scott’s own words, here is what our right to keep and bear arms means to him:

“I fully support the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Article 1, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution. The PA Constitution’s protection of the right to bear arms is stated much more strongly than that of the US Constitution, declaring that the right of citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State shall not be questioned.”

If gun owners show up, make their voices heard, and vote, we can flip this seat and elect a champion who will fight for us.

So, on November 3rd, vote for GOA-endorsed Scott Janney for State Senate—and please do everything you can to support his campaign today.
