Matt Wolford is the Gun Owners’ Choice Candidate for Commonwealth Court
I am delighted to endorse pro-gun attorney, Matt Wolford, for Commonwealth Court.
Due to the retirement of Democrat Judge Ellen Ceisler, there is a vacancy on the Commonwealth Court. An election for her position will occur in 2025.
It is imperative that a pro-Second Amendment majority on the Commonwealth Court be retained, and gun owners have a great candidate in Matt Wolford.
Matt Wolford is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania. He is an experienced attorney, practicing law for over three decades as a solo practitioner. He has represented a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations such as oil and gas companies, trade associations, manufacturers, farmers, landowners, and others.
Matt is also “highly recommended” by the PA Bar Association. His campaign platform emphasizes judicial restraint and safeguarding personal freedoms.
Important for gun owners, Matt Wolford rated himself as a “strict constructionist” in how he interprets the Constitution on his GOA candidate survey. He also identified Antonin Scalia as the Supreme Court Justice he most identifies with in his judicial philosophy.
Here is what Matt Wolford has to say in his own words regarding our God-given rights:
The Second Amendment and Art. I, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania State Constitution safeguard the right to keep and bear arms, a principle that a Commonwealth Court Judge must uphold with impartiality and fidelity to the law. As recently observed by the Pennsylvania Superior Court in Commonwealth v Sumpter, this right is among our fundamental rights in Pennsylvania.
Friend, it is imperative that we elect strong, constitutionalist judges as a safeguard against anti-gun cities like Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. And there’s no better way of doing that than by electing a pro-2A justice for the Commonwealth Court.
That’s why GOA is endorsing Matt Wolford for Commonwealth Court.
So, in the November 4th general election, vote for GOA-endorsed Matt Wolford. Also, be sure to like his Facebook page and support his campaign.
