John Lombardo is the Gun Owners’ Choice Candidate for HD 118

I am proud to endorse John Lombardo for State Representative in Pennsylvania’s 118th House District.

In the race for District 118, gun owners across Luzerne and Lackawanna counties face a critical choice. We can either keep a politician who sells out our rights in Harrisburg, or elect a proven, community-first leader who will stand on the front lines to defend them.

That leader is GOA-endorsed John Lombardo.

John’s opponent is the anti-gun incumbent, Jim Haddock. While Haddock has gone out of his way to pretend he’s pro-gun back home—even hosting localized concealed carry seminars to fool voters—his actual voting record in Harrisburg tells a completely different, betrayal-filled story.

Jim Haddock has earned a dismal “F” rating from Gun Owners of America. Since his election, he has turned his back on law-abiding gun owners by voting for tyrannical gun control bills that have come to the House floor.

Haddock voted for universal gun registration schemes (HB 714) in the 2023-2024 session and backed unconstitutional, due-process-destroying “Red Flag” gun confiscation orders TWICE (HB 1018 and HB 1859). You can view the rest of Jim Haddock’s atrocious record here.

We cannot afford to keep sending a rubber stamp for the gun-grab lobby to Harrisburg. We need a representative who doesn’t play political games with our Second Amendment freedoms.

John Lombardo is a lifelong resident of his district, born and raised in Pittston. He has spent his entire adult life keeping his neighbors safe as a full-time firefighter, EMT, and captain of the Pittston City Volunteer Fire Department. John is a first responder who doesn’t run away from problems—he runs toward them.

As a Luzerne County Councilman and Council Chair, John has built a strong reputation as a trusted, commonsense watchdog for local taxpayers.

Most importantly for gun owners, John Lombardo is a no-compromise defender of the right to keep and bear arms. He scored a perfect 100% on his GOA candidate survey. He understands that Article I, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution is absolute: our right to defend ourselves, our families, and our communities shall not be questioned.

John Lombardo will stand firmly with GOA to block the radical gun-control agenda and protect your God-given rights.

For all these reasons, Gun Owners of America is proud to stand with John Lombardo. It is time to retire an F-rated politician who votes against our rights and replace him with a true public servant who will defend them.
