I am delighted to endorse Brian Weismantle for Sheriff of Allegheny County.
Anti-gun cities like Pittsburgh and Philadelphia continue to pass illegal gun control ordinances in defiance of our state firearms preemption law. After the horrific Tree of Life synagogue shooting, the Pittsburgh City Council blatantly violated Pennsylvania’s firearms preemption law by passing a trio of gun control ordinances that were subsequently overturned in court.
Our Pennsylvania sheriffs stand in the gap between these unconstitutional gun grabs and law-abiding gun owners like you and me.
That’s why we need to elect an Allegheny County Sheriff who won’t be afraid to draw a line in the sand about our constitutionally-protected rights and stand up to anti-gun cities like Pittsburgh.
Brian Weismantle is that candidate!
Brian is a native of the Northside of Pittsburgh. He has over 25 years of law enforcement experience and retired as a homicide detective from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. He also served for more than 30 years in the military, retiring as a Master Sergeant from the Air National Guard.
Important for gun owners, Brian Weismantle scored a perfect, 100% on his GOA sheriff’s candidate survey, which is not an easy task. After personally interviewing Brian, I can assure you that he’s fully behind our Article 1, Section 21 and Second Amendment rights.
Here is what Brian has to say in his own words about our God-given rights:
Our founding fathers in their wisdom recognized the fundamental right for citizens to bear arms in their defense. It is, therefore, a necessity to maintain this right at all costs as outlined in Article 1, Section 21 of the Pennsylvania Constitution. This is especially important in our current time, as our law enforcement is shrinking and the defunding of police has become a national lapse in judgement.
Friend, our Pennsylvania sheriffs are constitutional officers who will either defend our freedoms or end up enforcing unconstitutional laws. That’s why we need to elect Brian Weismantle as the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of Allegheny County.
So, in the November 4th general election, vote for GOA-endorsed Brian Weismantle for Allegheny County Sheriff and be sure to support his campaign.
