Brian Shank earned his GOA endorsement the hard way: by standing his ground. He returned a perfect 100% on his GOA survey, pledging to oppose every form of tyrannical gun control and to defend the Pennsylvania Constitution’s mandate that the right to bear arms shall not be questioned.
But Brian doesn’t just talk-the-talk. He walks it.
Back in 2013, Brian was one of a small group of patriots who stood up against a lawless Erie city ordinance that tried to strip citizens of their right to carry in public parks. He received a citation for carrying his firearm in Perry Square—refusing to bow to local politicians who thought they could override state law and the Constitution.
And Brian, as part of the “Erie Eight,” won his case against the city, restoring the rights of law-abiding citizens to carry in parks.

- Locate the State Representative section on your ballot (District 2).
- Find the “Write-In” space or button at the end of the candidate list for that office.
- Select the Write-In option (on digital machines, this usually opens a keyboard or a text box).
- Type or write “BRIAN SHANK” clearly.
- Ensure you cast/submit your ballot according to the machine’s instructions.
