Joseph Leckenby is the Gun Owners’ Choice Candidate for House District 42

In the special election for Pennsylvania’s 42nd House District, there is only ONE clear choice for gun owners and that is Joseph Leckenby.

The incumbent, anti-gun Democrat Dan Miller, was elected as a judge to the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas leaving an open seat. To fill the vacancy, a special election is set for Tuesday, February 24th.

This is a pivotal race for gun owners. We only need to win ONE seat to regain a pro-gun majority and wrest control of the PA House from the anti-gun Democrats.

The good news is that gun owners have a strong ally with Joseph Leckenby.

Joseph is a lifelong resident of Mt. Lebanon, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duquesne University, double majoring in Political Science and Philosophy, graduating cum laude in December 2021. He later returned to Duquesne to attend the Thomas R. Kline School of Law, graduating in May 2025.

Leckenby is running against a Democrat who is no friend of gun owners. She was previously endorsed by MULTIPLE anti-2nd Amendment organizations who wish to enact reams of legislation to curtail your God-given rights.

The good news is that Joe Leckenby stands with gun owners. He scored a perfect 100% on GOA’s candidate survey! We need more like him.

Here’s what Joseph has to say about the importance of your right to keep and bear arms in his own words:

“From its original inclusion (as is written now) in the 1790 Constitution of this Commonwealth, we the people have made it clear that our sovereign rights––including and especially bearing arms––are inviolable. Along with many other Pennsylvania-specific Constitutional protections, Pa. Const. Art. I § 21 is proof of something my former law professor once said: Pennsylvania does things a little differently. I am running for office to protect that spirit and energy.”

For all of these reasons, Pennsylvania gun owners must unite behind Joseph Leckenby to defeat the gun-grabbers in power!
