As of today, the 2025-2026 legislative session is up and running. Unfortunately for us, the anti-gun majority of Democrats have retained control of the House, with re-elected House Speaker Joanna McClinton (D-191) again leading the charge in dismantling the Second Amendment.
So far, GOA is tracking 36 anti-gun bills, including buyback programs, “Ghost Gun” bans, universal registration checks, Red Flag Gun Confiscation Orders, mandatory safe storage laws, and semi-automatic rifle bans (to name a few). You can see a complete list of upcoming gun-related legislation here.
The reality is, if we intend to preserve and eventually expand our Second Amendment rights here in Pennsylvania, the margin for error that we have during this legislative session is extremely low.
The only thing stopping Pennsylvania from adopting the same horrible anti-gun policies that our neighbors in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland suffer under, is a small firewall of pro-gun Republicans holding on to a slim majority in the Senate.
Senator Lisa Baker serves as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee where nearly all of the anti-gun bills will end up. In the previous session, Senator Baker’s committee stopped every gun control bill dead in its tracks.
As one of Senator Baker’s constituents, I need you to encourage her to “hold the line” once more to kill any anti-gun bills that may be referred to her committee. Additionally, please encourage Senator Baker to bring up Senator Dush’s Constitutional Carry bill and Senator Mastriano’s Right to Bear Arms Act for a vote.
Opposing gun control is the bare minimum. Our lawmakers MUST fight to restore the Second Amendment.
And unless our elected officials hear from us, the citizens they represent, there’s no telling what they’ll do once the anti-gun left bombards them with aggressive calls for gun control.
So, please send a message to Senator Baker (by using the form above) to continue “holding the line.” Urge her to stop all gun control bills in the Senate Judiciary Committee and ADVANCE pro-gun legislation.
The above alert is only intended for constituents of PA Senate District 20. If you live outside of that district, you will not be able to send a message.
